La "Cueca Sola" (that could be translated as the Single Cueca") is an artistic manifestation created by the AFDD (disappeared prisoners relatives group in Chile) wich consists of a woman dancing cueca (chilean national dance originally between a woman and a man) on her own, while showing a picture of her missing relative on her chest. The lyrics, written by folklorist Gala Torres, talks about the solitude and sadness that the absence of the loved ones causes, and the impotence and frustration out of not having an answer to their inquires regarding their relatives location.
